Sign upAngela is an interdisciplinary artist. She works in mediums of drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed-media, and installation. Angela is proud to contribute her work to the broader cultural fabric and institutions that make up the diverse country she lives in. With her use of traditional mediums, she renders art from observation, photography, and digital media. Much of her art stems from an illustrative approach. She creates detailed imagery that is heavily stylized. Distinct elements of her work are graphically charged. Her drawings focus mainly on portraiture, anatomy, and the human form. She focuses on the many ways the human face and body fit into more complex systems. Her inspiration comes from a wide array of subjects including but not limited to; mythology, modern art history, historical paintings, architecture, film, nature, and space. Her sculptures and installations are made from a variety of mediums in order to produce heavily treated surfaces of art. She makes wall-works that blur the boundaries between painting and sculpture. Angela writes fiction, she enjoys writing short stories, poetry, and is currently working on a fantasy series. She is open to collaborating with other artists and writers on different projects.
