This Privacy Policy explains how Artsume (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our websites, products, and services (the “Services”). By using the Services, you consent to the practices described here.

Who we are & how to contact us

Artsume helps visual artists create structured CVs and portfolios and use a single profile to apply to opportunities. Contact: support@artsume.com.

Scope

This Policy applies to information collected via our website(s), applications, and related online Services. It does not cover third parties we do not control.

Information we collect

1) Information you provide

  • Account & Profile: name, email, photo, artist type, location, statement, links/socials.
  • Artsume Content: CV entries (education, exhibitions, grants, residencies, press, collections), portfolio items/media, messages, forms, settings.
  • Communications: emails/support chats and preferences (e.g., marketing opt-ins).
  • Payments (if applicable): billing details/transaction IDs via our payment provider (we don’t store full card numbers).

2) Information collected automatically

  • Usage & Device: IP, device/browser, OS, pages, clicks, feature usage.
  • Cookies & Local Storage: for auth, preferences, measurement, and advertising.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics and PostHog events for product improvement.
  • Advertising/Attribution: Google Ads and Meta pixel for performance measurement and remarketing.

3) Information from third parties

  • Single Sign-On: Google, Apple, or Meta may share identifiers you authorize (e.g., email, name, photo).
  • Integrations: When you connect third-party services or submit external links, we may receive relevant data per your settings.

How we use information

  • Provide, secure, operate, and improve the Services.
  • Create/maintain your account and profile; host public profiles if enabled.
  • Recommend/facilitate opportunity applications per your settings.
  • Process transactions and send service communications.
  • Personalize, measure, and A/B test experiences.
  • Platform Promotion: Use your public profile content (e.g., portfolio images) in our marketing materials, social media channels, and case studies to promote the Artsume platform and your work.
  • Marketing (where permitted by law), including ads/remarketing and newsletters.
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and policy violations.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce agreements.

Cookies, analytics & advertising

We use first- and third-party cookies/pixels for authentication, preferences, analytics, performance, and advertising (including cross-site/interest-based ads). We do not provide in-product cookie preference toggles. By using the Services, you consent to our use of these technologies as described.

  • Analytics:Google Analytics & PostHog.
  • Advertising:Google Ads & Meta pixel, including remarketing.
  • SSO: Google, Apple, Meta for login/account linking.

Manage cookies in your browser, opt out of Google personalized ads in Google Ads settings, manage Meta ad preferences in your Meta account, and use industry opt-out tools (NAI/DAA) where available.

Search engine & AI indexing

If you make your profile public, it may be indexed by search engines and discovered by third-party AI tools. You can set your profile to private or “exclude from search” (noindex). Third-party caches/previous indexing are outside our control.

How we share information

  • Processors/Service Providers: Supabase (DB/auth/storage), Google (Analytics/Ads/SSO), Apple (Sign in), Meta (pixel/login), PostHog (analytics) under appropriate agreements.
  • Social Media & Distribution Partners: When we promote your work or the platform, we may share your public content with social media platforms (e.g., Pinterest, Instagram, LinkedIn) and marketing partners. These platforms process data according to their own policies.
  • Legal/Safety: Compliance with law; protection of rights and the integrity of the Services.
  • Business Transfers: Information may transfer in mergers, acquisitions, or asset sales.
  • At your direction: We publish/share per your settings (e.g., public profile, submissions).

International data transfers

We may transfer, store, and process information outside your country, including in the U.S., Canada, the EEA, and elsewhere. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).

Data retention

  • Account & Profile: kept while active and up to 24 months after closure (or sooner upon request), unless we must retain longer.
  • Logs/Security: typically 12–24 months.
  • Analytics: per tool configuration (GA/PostHog windows).
  • Aggregated/De-identified: retained without a defined limit.

Your rights & choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing. We do not offer in-product cookie preference toggles. To exercise rights, contact support@artsume.com.

Children

The Services are not intended for children under 13 (or local digital age of consent without parental consent).

Security

We implement measures designed to protect your information. No method is 100% secure.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy at any time. Material changes will be notified (e.g., email or in-app).
