I am a passionate black creative with a deep appreciation for art in all its forms. From a rural hometown with limited distractions, I have cultivated an ability to find beauty and creativity in the seemingly mundane. My work delves deep into the intriguing interplay between perception and intuition, seeking to challenge and expand the viewer’s understanding of these concepts. I gravitate towards darker themes and enjoy playing with double meanings in my pieces, often leaving them open to interpretation of the viewer. I enjoy crafting pieces that may appear uncanny to some but resonate deeply with those attuned to the intricacies of the black experience. Embracing the uncanny, I aim to challenge perceptions and evoke thought-provoking emotions through my art. While I sincerely appreciate the artistic disciplines I have explored, I am eager to expand my skill set and delve into other mediums. While my primary mediums include drawing, film production, and photography, I am constantly drawn to explore new avenues of artistic expression. From dabbling in ceramics to experimenting with dance, I thrive on pushing the boundaries of my creativity. I aim to emerge as a dynamic force in the realm of creativity, armed with a keen intellect and a vibrant spirit. I infuse my work with a profound sense of identity and purpose and am committed to pushing boundaries, challenging norms, and amplifying underrepresented voices within the black community.
