Linda Rozenfeld is a Canadian painter based in Toronto whose work celebrates the energy and spirit of the natural world. Known for her dynamic use of colour and expressive compositions, Linda creates striking acrylic paintings and fine-art prints that capture the wild essence of her animal subjects. Her pieces often blend bold hues with intricate detail, inviting viewers to experience familiar creatures in fresh, imaginative ways.
My work is rooted in a fascination with animals and the emotional presence they carry. I am drawn to wildlife not only for its beauty, but for its character, movement, and quiet intelligence. Through bold colour, layered brushwork, and expressive detail, I aim to capture more than a likeness — I want to convey energy, personality, and spirit. Colour is central to my process. I use it intuitively, often exaggerating or re-imagining natural palettes to create a sense of vibrancy and joy. These heightened colours allow my subjects to exist somewhere between the real and the imagined, inviting viewers to see familiar animals in a new and playful way. Painting is both meditative and energizing for me. Each piece begins with observation but evolves through experimentation, responding to the rhythm of the brush and the emotional tone that emerges on the canvas. I am interested in creating work that feels alive — art that sparks connection, curiosity, and a sense of wonder. Ultimately, my goal is to celebrate the natural world while offering moments of colour, warmth, and optimism. I hope my paintings encourage viewers to pause, smile, and reconnect with the wildness that surrounds us and lives within us.
