African Film Festival Atlanta

The African Film Festival Atlanta (AFFATL) is powered by the African Film & Arts Foundation Inc (AFAF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit media arts organization. Its mission is to amplify the stories, voices, and creative expressions of people from Africa and the African Diaspora through film, arts, and culture. AFFATL is Georgia's first homegrown African film festival. Each year it presents 50+ films from 20+ countries, hosts filmmakers from Africa and the Diaspora, and reaches 1,000+ attendees. It emphasizes contemporary African storytelling, technology, and cultural dialogue, and has been honored by the Georgia House of Representatives for advancing cultural representation.
