Arizona Commission on the Arts

The Arizona Commission on the Arts is the state arts agency of Arizona, supporting artists and arts organizations across the state. It administers grant programs such as the Artist Opportunity Grant and hosts initiatives like the Arizona State Parks Artist Residency, giving artists dedicated time and space to create work inspired by the state's landscapes. The Commission also runs arts education programs, including Arizona's Poetry Out Loud recitation competition for high school students, and partners with cultural publications on Arizona arts history. It will celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2027.
