Art on the Square

Art on the Square is a juried fine art fair held on the Public Square in Belleville, Illinois, in the greater St. Louis area. It has run since 2002 and presents the original work of about 100 artists from across the country, with awards, wine court entertainment, local food and drink, and artist demonstrations. The Art on the Square Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit led by an all-volunteer board, committee and community volunteers. Its mission is to present a world-class juried fine arts festival that supports artists through sales, awards and hospitality, and advances arts education and appreciation in southwestern Illinois. It also runs a Children's Art Garden, a High School Art Competition, and community outreach such as Sculpture in the City and an Artist in Residence program. Its Art Cash program lets supporters pre-purchase art as gifts.
