Artcite Inc.

Artcite Inc. is a non-profit, artist-run centre for the contemporary arts, focused on expanding the visibility of contemporary art in its region and on the professional presentation and promotion of contemporary art forms. Incorporated in 1982, it is a registered charitable organization directed by its members, a volunteer board and a small staff, most of whom are practicing artists. It supports local, regional, national and international artists at all career stages, with particular support for emerging, new generation and culturally under-represented artists, and it pays professional artist fees at nationally established rates. While primarily a visual arts centre, Artcite presents guest artist lectures, workshops and residencies, site-specific installations and public art, film and video screenings, public readings and multi-disciplinary performance events.
