An artist and researcher residency in the Guiniguada valley of Gran Canaria, Spain, running since 2019.
Artist and Researcher in Residence Guiniguada is a residency programme that has run since 2019 in the Guiniguada valley of Gran Canaria, Spain, a rural, fertile area in the island's northern foothills. Hosted in a converted cave-origin house, it offers separate studios, several terraces, and shared kitchen and bathroom facilities to visiting artists and researchers. Hosts live on site and are present throughout each residency period to support residents' projects. The programme welcomes work engaging ecology and society, arts and society, and human rights and society, reflecting its own experimental, low-consumption way of living alongside the land.
