Artists In Action (AiA)

Artists in Action (AiA) is a nonprofit organization based in Salem, Oregon, serving a diverse and inclusive group of artists at all stages of their careers throughout the Willamette Valley. Members work across a wide range of mediums, including drawing and painting, sculpture, textiles and fabric arts, assemblage, ceramics, glass, photography, digital media, and printmaking. The organization supports its members through workshops, collaborative projects, monthly meetings with club activities, and community outreach, and it hosts signature events and calls to artists each year, including an annual fundraiser. AiA has operated for two decades and also advocates on behalf of local artists, including efforts to update artist copyright policy with the City of Salem.
