The West Central Neighborhood Association exists to preserve and promote a historic neighborhood known for its connected community, rich architecture and livability. It is a membership body: dues-paying members vote at association meetings and can use cost-share programs that help fund tree planting, new sidewalks, curb appeal and security cameras. The association offers residents guidance on its local historic district and on renovations and landscaping. It also runs neighborhood events such as an egg hunt, yard sales, a block party, movie nights and a holiday party. Its best-known events are the annual Home & Garden Tour, now in its 44th year, and ArtsFest, a free event of arts and craft exhibitors, food trucks and live music held during the tour.
