Atlas Residency

Atlas is an independent artistic studio and residency exploring the interactions between nature and creativity, located in the Portuguese countryside near Lisbon. It grew out of the earlier Euroatlas studio residency based in Lisbon, born from a need to reconnect with ways of living and creating that stay in touch with the environment. The studio occupies a 200m2 warehouse combining a working and living space with a permaculture garden, and hosts international artists or groups for stays of one to three months. Its program is non-prescriptive and multidisciplinary, open to artists working across visual arts, dance, theater, writing and music who are seeking a self-directed place of reflection and production.
