Bethesda Urban Partnership works to promote and look after downtown Bethesda, one of the best-known communities in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. It organizes community events such as Taste of Bethesda, the Summer Concert Series, Bethesda Outdoor Movies and Bethesda's Winter Wonderland, and publishes guides to dining, shopping and getting around.
Together with the Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District it supports the arts, including the Bethesda Fine Arts Festival, the Bethesda Painting Awards, the Trawick Prize, the Paint the Town public art project and Gallery B. Its Ask Me Team, in red shirts, helps visitors and residents with directions, escorts and emergency assistance.
