Québec's national library and archives, giving free access to the province's culture and heritage.
Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec (BAnQ) gathers and shares the history and culture of Québec, both online and through its 12 buildings across the province. It brings together the Grande Bibliothèque, the Bibliothèque nationale and the Archives nationales. The Grande Bibliothèque is the public library of all Quebecers and offers free access to the largest collection of French-language books and documents in North America. The Bibliothèque nationale acquires and preserves the whole of Québec publishing, while the Archives nationales conserve public and private archives through 10 centres. BAnQ also offers digital collections, a catalogue, genealogy resources, film screenings, storytelling for children and guided visits.
