BigCi

BigCi (Bilpin International Ground for Creative Initiatives) is an independent, not-for-profit, artist-run residency program based in Bilpin, Australia, near Sydney. It was founded and is run by artist Rae Bolotin and wilderness explorer Yuri Bolotin, and sits on the edge of Wollemi National Park within the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Greater Blue Mountains. The organization hosts painters, sculptors, multimedia and performance artists, writers, musicians, dancers and filmmakers, with many residents drawn to environmental and ecological themes inspired by the surrounding wilderness. Beyond its residency program, BigCi hosts events, performances, workshops, installations and exhibitions, and maintains collaborative links with organizations such as Asialink, Artspace Sydney and the Sydney Biennale. It is a member of Res Artis, the worldwide network of artist residencies.
