Black Arts District

The Black Arts District is a community organization in West Baltimore that empowers Black creatives through an anti-displacement framework. It continues community-based revitalization efforts along Pennsylvania Avenue through culture, arts, and entertainment. Its work includes Project RestART, a multi-pronged initiative that helps Black creatives get connected, find resources, and restart their careers. It also runs a monthly Black Artist Fair and DewMore, a youth performance program pairing emerging artists with professional mentors. Its vision is to be a model of Black creative autonomy, centered in love, unity, shared purpose, and respect for its people.
