Building 180 is a women-led, full-service global art production and consulting agency. It specializes in public art, workplace design and placemaking, curating and producing complex art installations from conception to completion. Its clients include cities, brands, event producers, architects, designers and developers, and it works exclusively with reliable artists while safeguarding artistic integrity and freedom. The company takes its name from a former hangar on Treasure Island in San Francisco Bay that housed some forty artist studios, and it still works with many of the artists from that space. It also serves as curatorial and operational lead for Big Art LOOP, a multi-year initiative with the Sijbrandij Foundation that brings monumental sculptures to public spaces across San Francisco. Its stated aim is to use art to draw communities into the conversation and to support emerging artists.
