Byrdcliffe

Byrdcliffe is a not-for-profit arts organization in the Hudson Valley region that embraces all disciplines of artistic endeavor in a collaborative spirit. It carries on the cultural legacy established by the Byrdcliffe Arts Colony in 1902, mounting exhibitions that feature regional, national, and international artists working in both fine art and functional crafts. The organization offers an Artists-in-Residence program open to visual artists, photographers, ceramicists, filmmakers, writers, composers, and weavers, alongside classes rooted in the Arts and Crafts Movement philosophy. Byrdcliffe also hosts a variety of special events including exhibition openings, artist talks, open studios, concerts, and performances, and operates a shop featuring work from local ceramic artists, jewelry designers, woodworkers, metalworkers, textile designers, and glass blowers.
