Camont is an intimate, self-funded creative residency in an 18th-century farmhouse in the countryside of Southwest France, near Agen. It gives writers, painters, composers and researchers two to four weeks of uninterrupted creative time, with longer stays possible on request. Each resident has a large private bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a desk and high-speed wifi, and a dedicated artist studio is available on request. Residencies are offered first to writers, and other quiet disciplines such as painting, illustration, film and photography are also welcome. Days are unhurried, with meals drawn from nearby farms and markets and conversation that is thoughtful but never obligatory.
