CIRCA art actuel

CIRCA art actuel is an artist-run center dedicated to contemporary art, with a particular focus on sculptural and installation practices. Founded in 1988 as an exhibition center promoting contemporary ceramics, it became an artist-run center in 1996 and adopted its current name and expanded mandate in 2013. The Center supports artists through exhibitions, conferences, round tables, studio visits and networking opportunities, placing "The Artist at the Center" of its activities. Since its founding it has presented over 360 exhibitions featuring some 800 artists, and has developed national and international exchanges with artist-run centers and partners in Canada, Germany, Belgium, Mexico, Austria, Spain and France.
