A Baltimore nonprofit nurturing the culture of literature across Maryland through events, a festival and a press.
CityLit Project nurtures the culture of literature in Baltimore and throughout Maryland. It creates enthusiasm for the literary arts, connects a community of avid readers and writers, and designs opportunities for diverse audiences to embrace literature. The organization hosts three signature events each year, including the annual CityLit Festival, which brings together authors and guest artists and mixes genres with music. CityLit Press has published authors through its program. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, it relies on individual, foundation, corporate and government support.
