A foundation providing matching grants for quality string instruments to kids in need.
Classics for Kids Foundation empowers young people through music by providing matching grants for high quality string instruments to organizations serving at-risk kids. The foundation supports school and community music programs across the United States, helping students access instruments that are easier to play, tonally superior, and more durable, encouraging them to stay involved with their music education. Its artistic director is cellist Michael Reynolds of the Muir String Quartet, and the foundation also offers recordings of Bach's Complete Suites for Solo Cello to support its mission. Through quarterly grant cycles, Classics for Kids Foundation partners with schools and youth orchestras nationwide, recognizing new grant recipients each quarter and matching donations toward instrument purchases.
