The Connecticut Office of the Arts helps residents enjoy new arts experiences and helps artists and arts organizations bring their work to life. It offers grants for artists, arts organizations, municipalities, and schools, and a directory for finding local artists and performers. Its programs include arts education for teachers and teaching artists, the Creative Economy initiative, and Cultural Districts across the state. It also runs the Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts program, which provides legal services to the arts sector, and sponsors the State Poet Laureate and State Troubadour.
