The Cordova Community Council was founded in 1959 as an "organization of organizations," a forum for citizens to meet and plan community celebrations. It is a 501(c)(3) public benefit nonprofit headquartered within Rancho Cordova City Hall, and it works with the City of Rancho Cordova and many community partners. The council organizes hundreds of community events and curates the community calendar. Its programs include the Art at City Hall juried exhibitions, the Mills Arts & Culture Center, a community volunteer awards program, the Rancho Cordova Athletic Association for youth sports, and The Digital Grapevine local history project. People can take part as members, sponsors, volunteers, exhibitors, food vendors or Magic Makers.
