The Cotton Factory is a creative industries complex in Lower Hamilton, Ontario, housed in a former cotton mill built in 1900 for the Imperial Cotton Company. The building has been adapted for new use, with studios for artists, workshops, galleries and office space for creative professionals. Artists, designers, makers, filmmakers and creative businesses work throughout the complex, and exhibitions, open studios and events bring them together. The space is also available for venue rental, film and photography locations, and studio and co-working leases. Through the Nordic Artist Exchange, started in 2017 with the Estonian Artists' Association and the Hamilton Arts Council, artists from Hamilton and Estonia live and work in each other's cities. The City of Hamilton recognizes the property for its cultural heritage value.
