A collective of artists and chefs fighting the starving-artist myth through residencies and care.
The Creative Comfort Society is a collective of artists and chefs dedicated to caring for creative people so they have the support they need to make great art, working against the myth of the starving artist. The organization runs artist residencies, including a winter program in Valle de Bravo, Mexico that combines gourmet food, cultural exchange, and creative community for visiting artists. It also organizes community fundraising events, guided tours, and custom workshops for private groups, with proceeds subsidizing accessible programming for under-represented artists. The Society welcomes partnerships with chefs, artists, cultural organizations, and local businesses to co-produce events and expand its mission of elevating the creative community with comfort and care.
