Parallel Studios is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, that has produced, curated and designed exhibitions in the city since 2002. In 2010 it launched CURRENTS New Media, an annual citywide art and technology festival, and it also runs a year-round exhibition and experience space. Its programs showcase interactive and immersive installations, VR and AR environments, video, animation, robotics, wearables and 3D printing by emerging and established artists from New Mexico and around the world. The organization also runs educational programs, including a youth internship program and a program for adult interns from around the globe. Most of its exhibitions and events are free, and its work depends on partnerships across the city and the support of volunteers.
