Dade Heritage Trust

Founded in 1972, Dade Heritage Trust is Miami-Dade County's largest preservation organization, dedicated to preserving the county's architectural, environmental, and cultural heritage through education and advocacy. Operating from the historic 1905 office of Dr. James Jackson — Miami's first physician — the organization is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and serves as an Official Heritage Tourism Visitors Center. DHT publishes Preservation Today Magazine annually, highlighting preservation work by individuals, organizations, and businesses throughout the community. The organization is supported by Miami DDA, the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, and Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs.
