A premier 66-acre botanical garden on White Rock Lake in Dallas.
The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is a garden for all that enriches lives through beauty, learning, and connection. Located on the shores of White Rock Lake in East Dallas, its 66 acres include a complete life science laboratory supporting horticultural research, beloved annual events, and wide-ranging educational programs. The garden grew from the vision of civic leaders and philanthropists, incorporated as a nonprofit in 1974, and opened to the public in 1984 on the combined DeGolyer and Alex Camp estate grounds. It is supported by a 75-member Board of Directors, 220+ paid staff, more than 400 active volunteers, and the Dallas Park and Recreation Department.
