A foundation sponsoring sculpture commissions and public art collections in Burlington, Ontario.
The Dan Lawrie International Sculpture Collection (DLISC) is a Burlington, Ontario organization that has supported the commission and exhibition of sculptural works for over a decade. Born from Dan Lawrie's passion for sculpture, DLISC has sponsored public art commissions through partners including the City of Burlington Public Art Program, the Art Gallery of Burlington, the Joseph Brant Museum, and the Royal Botanical Gardens. It is best known for creating and running the Burlington Waterfront Sculpture Trail, a free outdoor exhibition linking Burlington's downtown core and waterfront with temporary sculptural installations by artists from across Canada. DLISC pays exhibition fees to participating artists and works to sell exhibited pieces, directing further support back to Canadian artists.
