The Fairport Public Arts Committee brings public art to the Village of Fairport and the Town of Perinton, New York. It commissions site-specific installations, such as those along the historic Erie Canal as part of the Fairport-Perinton Art Trail, and runs open calls for temporary works like Random Acts of Art.
The committee also hosts community events, including an annual Plein Air painting event and support for Comic Book Day activities. It maintains a database of local artists and of businesses and organizations that want to exhibit local art, and it welcomes collaboration requests from community partners. Its work is supported by donations and by public and local funders, with fiscal oversight from the Fairport Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization.
