A nonprofit using public art and design to reimagine and revitalize Flint.
Flint Public Art Project organizes public events, workshops, and permanent and temporary installations to inspire residents to reimagine the city of Flint. It works to reclaim vacant and underutilized buildings and lots and uses innovative tools to help steer the city's long-range planning. The organization supports collaborations among local residents and organizations as well as with artists, architects, planners and community organizers from around the world, connecting Flint to broader movements to revitalize neighborhoods and cities through art and design. Its vision is to document and amplify the ways local residents, businesses and institutions are transforming Flint and its public image, and to broadcast this story to audiences throughout the city and the world through public art.
