The Florence Biennale is an international biennial of contemporary art and design held in Florence, Italy. It brings together exhibitors from many countries, with the 2025 edition showing more than 1,600 works by over 600 exhibitors from 84 countries and drawing more than 21,000 visitors.
It presents international awards recognising excellence in contemporary art and design, including lifetime achievement prizes. Each edition has a theme, a curatorial committee, an international jury, guest-of-honour projects and a program of exhibitions in the city between editions. The next edition, the sixteenth, is planned for 23-31 October 2027.
