Gate 27

About

Gate 27 is an international creative residency program founded in 2019 to support the research and production processes of different practices and to create ground for interdisciplinary exchange. It treats art and creative production as research methods, inviting artists, curators, researchers and professionals to engage in dialogue around ecology, sustainability, accessibility and local creative networks. Residents are offered a calm working environment and studio space, along with access to resources and people that deepen their research. The program hosts residents at its premises in Istanbul and Ayvalık, and participants join a growing network of alumni artists and researchers. Public programs and events encourage new collaborations at the intersections of arts, science and industry.
