Gateway Regional Arts Center (GRAC) is a cultural center serving the Central and Eastern regions of Kentucky. Its mission is to provide excellent arts experiences for the communities along the I-64 Corridor between Lexington, Kentucky and Huntington, West Virginia. Based in Mount Sterling, the "Gateway" between the Bluegrass and Appalachian regions, it explores local identities through many art forms and anthropological methods. GRAC offers affordable classes and events open to the public, along with gallery exhibitions. It also houses the Small Town America Institute for Rural Arts & Culture, a think tank that supports cultural programming in rural towns and counties through academic research and free resources and guides for smaller arts councils and interest groups.
