Guam's council on the arts and humanities, which runs annual grant cycles for the territory.
The Guam Council on the Arts and Humanities Agency (CAHA) is the territorial government agency responsible for promoting and preserving the arts and humanities of Guam. It was established in 1967 by Dr. Pedro Sanchez as the Insular Arts Council under the University of Guam, and was re-established in 1975 as part of the Governor's executive office before being given perpetual standing under Public Law 18-8. CAHA issues grants to individuals and organizations for the perpetuation of the island's arts and culture, including folk arts projects, visual arts exhibits, and music and theatre productions. Its mission is to encourage and promote the artistic practice of Guam's artisans and to create opportunities for residents to learn, experience, express and appreciate art in all its forms.
