Hogfish is a regenerative artist residency in Portland, Maine, for performing artists working in acting, singing, dance and instrumental music. It offers a holistic retreat where artists connect with themselves, their community and the land to renew their creative energy. Artists-in-residence receive performance opportunities, education, travel, housing and a stipend, and there is no application fee or age limit. Each summer the residency produces a main stage production and presents residents' personal projects through its Regenerative Arts Seed Project series. Artists also take part in company classes in mindfulness, ecology and Alexander Technique, and can book private sessions in healing modalities such as Reiki. The season is based around the rose garden of historic Beckett Castle on the Atlantic coast.
