JanKossen Contemporary was established in 2012 in Basel, Switzerland by Dr. Jasmin Kossenjans. The gallery curates exhibitions with a primary focus on abstract, conceptual art by established and mid-career international artists, and has run spaces in cities including Basel, New York and Venice. Since 2020 it has stayed active through online and nomad-space exhibitions, and its program now showcases predominantly women artists, with a special focus on women from outside Europe and the US. Its administrative offices in Basel offer artists career management, advisory services for collectors and curatorial services for exhibitions in the commercial and public sectors.
