A 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting artists, curators and writers working with collage.
Kolaj Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports artists, curators, and writers who study, document, and disseminate ideas about collage as a medium, a genre, a community, and a 21st century movement. It runs a number of initiatives that bring together community, investigate critical issues, and raise collage's standing in the art world. Its New Orleans gallery is an exhibition space, residency center, artist studio, library and archive, and the Institute also runs calls to artists and workshops such as the Curating Collage Workshop. It works in partnership with Kolaj Magazine to publish and distribute its work, and it is the recipient of the magazine's archives and collections. The Institute is decentralized and partners with art venues and organizations around the world to present its programs.
