The Lakeland Arts Association has been fostering art for educational enjoyment and professional growth in the greater Lakeland and Central Florida area since 1958. Members meet on the first Thursday of each month for a social and a talk from guest speakers. The association offers low-cost hands-on educational workshops, exhibitions and a news blog celebrating local talent.
It is also a partner in the Depot Arts District, a planned arts complex in Lakeland with affordable artist studios, three galleries, workshop rooms, a garden space and a retail area for artist-made goods.
