LantarenVenster is a film theatre in Rotterdam that screens a wide range of arthouse and international films alongside film specials, talks and live-music film concerts. Its programme includes recurring series such as Queer Cinema, Expat Cinema Rotterdam with English subtitles, and Rotterdams Open Doek, which gives local filmmakers a stage for short films.
The venue also serves younger audiences through Cinemini for ages 2 to 6 and the Cinekid Festival with its MediaLab and workshops. It supports new talent through initiatives such as NextGen Cinema, where young film fans compile their own programme, and is currently renovating its foyer and moving its main entrance to the Rijnhaven.
