Light Art Space

Light Art Space (LAS) is a community-focused gallery serving Silver City, New Mexico, and its visitors through changing exhibitions, workshops, lectures, and other events. It works closely with local public schools and Western New Mexico University, giving students access to professional art and interactive art-making opportunities. Through juried and curated exhibitions, LAS brings work not typically seen in small, rural towns to its community, with a deliberate focus on underrepresented artists, including minorities, women, and emerging artists working in less-represented media such as alternative photographic processes, installation, and video. The organization represents ten regional artists working across a variety of media and welcomes both the general public and serious collectors of art.
