Light Up The North

Light Up The North (LUTN) is a partnership of light festivals across the North of England, including Barnsley Bright Nights, Lightpool in Blackpool, and Light Night Wigan. It supports the creation of new light art installations by commissioning artists and coordinating funding and production budgets across its member festivals. LUTN runs positive action initiatives such as ILLUMINE, aimed at addressing the underrepresentation of Black and People of Colour (POC) artists working in light art. The organization provides bursaries, production budgets, and delivery support to help commissioned artists research, develop, and present new work at its member festivals.
