Louisville Downtown Partnership works to strengthen and inform downtown Louisville. It includes the Downtown Development Corporation, a private nonprofit 501(c)(3) that has brought public and private partners together in the area's redevelopment and long-term planning since 1988, and the Louisville Downtown Management District. The organization leads the Downtown Development Strategy and offers services such as downtown ambassadors, small business support and data and research on the neighborhood. It also runs placemaking projects, including the Alley Gallery, Street Gallery and a temporary public art program, along with public events and attractions. Residents, businesses and visitors can support its work by becoming a Friend of Downtown.
