Maine Media Workshops + College

Maine Media Workshops + College is a photography and media education school based in Rockport, Maine, offering intensive workshops and degree programs for photographers and filmmakers. For more than three decades it hosted renowned visiting photographers, including Arnold Newman, who taught there every summer. Since 2016 the school has administered the Arnold Newman Prize for New Directions in Photographic Portraiture, a $20,000 annual award established in 2009 by the Arnold and Augusta Newman Foundation. Maine Media partners with the Griffin Museum of Photography to exhibit the work of the prize's winners and finalists.
