Maryhill Museum of Art is a museum on a bluff above the eastern Columbia River Gorge in south-central Washington. It preserves and interprets art and historic collections as a journey of educational enrichment, and its architecture, views and collections carry both cultural and natural significance. The permanent collection includes works by Auguste Rodin, material on Loïe Fuller, Indigenous Peoples of North America and Queen Marie of Romania, Orthodox icons, Art Nouveau glass, the Théâtre de la Mode, and a gallery of international chess sets. A sculpture park sits on the grounds. The museum also presents rotating and long-running exhibitions, such as American Classical Realism, Contemporary Indigenous Art and Romanian Embroidery. It offers events, workshops, docent-led tours and educational programs for educators and the community, and is open seasonally from March 15 to November 15.
