Material Works

Material Works is a contemporary art organization that supports artists by exchanging a cash award for an original artwork, which then becomes part of its growing contemporary art collection. It recognizes artistic excellence and aims to advance artists' careers by increasing their visibility and exposure. Artists working worldwide across a range of contemporary practices are welcomed into its program, and pieces acquired through the award are considered for future exhibition opportunities. Material Works covers the shipping costs for artwork it acquires.
