Medomak Fiberarts Retreat is a fiber arts gathering held in Washington, Maine, over two weeklong sessions each summer. Participants who knit, crochet, spin, felt, dye, weave or stitch, or who want to learn, take workshops led by visiting instructors. Days are spent in the company of fellow fiber enthusiasts, spinning by the fireplace or knitting on the porch of the lodge. Guests can also collect natural dyestuffs around camp and use them to dye their own yarn and fiber. The workshops are largely the same in both weeks, so attendees can choose either week or take a different set of classes in each.
