Mercury 20 is a contemporary art gallery founded in 2006 and established, supported and operated by San Francisco Bay Area artists. It maintains a gallery space in Oakland, California, as well as an online sales platform.
Its collective operating structure lets member artists experiment, develop, exhibit and advance their work while sustaining their arts community. The gallery presents a rotating program of exhibitions, including a Backroom Gallery, alongside artist talks, opening receptions and juried open calls. It takes part in Oakland Art Murmur and First Friday events, and also produces a podcast.
