Montello Foundation

Montello Foundation is a foundation dedicated to supporting artists who foster our understanding of nature, its fragility, and our need to protect it. It runs a seasonal residency, hosting artists, choreographers, composers, and writers for immersive stays in a remote desert setting, free from everyday distractions like cell phones. Applicants are selected by a jury of independent curators and arts professionals. The foundation emphasizes solitude, presence, and unstructured creative time as the basis of its program.
